Promote technology transfer to improve the international position as an innovative region
What do we want to achieve in 2030?

By 2030, the economic fabric of the Barcelona metropolitan region will devote at least 1.2% of the GDP to private spending on R&D

An economy that provides prosperity for all must have a diversified structure and a growing importance of innovation in all activities. The Barcelona metropolitan region is very well positioned in terms of research, but its transfer to the productive sphere must be improved. Boosting private spending on R&D is key to making a qualitative leap and ascending to among the most innovative regions in Europe.
