Ensuring access to healthier and more sustainable food for everyone, everywhere
What do we want to achieve in 2030?

By 2030, 60% of the diet of the population of the Barcelona metropolitan region will be based on local foods

Food occupies an increasingly prominent place on the strategic agenda of cities. Starting from the Food Charter of the Barcelona metropolitan region, proximity has been identified as the factor from which all other transformations of the food system can be deepened to make it more sustainable, healthier and fairer, while it becomes a more important economic activity and a factor of territorial cohesion.
