Mitigate the effects of climate change and ensure a healthy habitat based on a just transition in the energy model and sustainable resource management
What do we want to achieve in 2030?
By 2030, the Barcelona metropolitan region will have reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 45%
Cities generate 70% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, so urgent action is needed to reduce their impacts. The environmental and climate emergency affects the health and well-being of people, the land and biodiversity. It is essential to address mitigation and adaptation to climate change from a metropolitan scale through a transition in the energy model and by rethinking resource management.
