A new bus network for the city of Barcelona has been designed. The new network consists of the following elements:
- A group of twenty-eight high-performance bus lines: seventeen of them running east-west (from the sea-inland); eight running north-south (between Besòs and Llobregat) and three crossing the city diagonally;
- All the existing TMB inter-urban bus lines and part of the urban lines;
- The bus lines of the nearby transport, which include the “Bus del Barri” (“Neighbourhood Bus”) service.
