As well as state-of-the-art fair technology, the pavilions also offer six new food areas: two fast-food type, two traditional restaurants and two mixed bar/fast food facilities.

During 2011, 1.1 MW was added to the photovoltaic plant installed on the roof of pavilions 5 and 7. The comprises an increase of almost 6,700 photovoltaic modules with an investment of 3.2 million euros.

Barcelona Trade Fair now has one of the most powerful photovoltaic plants in the world in terms of roof-top installations in public buildings.

In 2012 Fira 2000 will commission the construction of further developments around the site and the completion of two new convention centres in the central area of the fair site.
