The Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia is a strategic bid of the city to develop mental health projects and create the International Centre of Excellence for Mental Health of Catalonia, with headquarters in the Marianao Palace.
Lluïsa Moret i Sabidó, Mayor of Sant Boi de Llobregat
The primary aims of the Mental Health Cluster of Catalonia are to generate cohesion, to conduct research, to provide care and training, to promote internationalisation and to spur the development of opinion on mental health.
This project also moved forward in the development of the three strategic lines that form its promotion plan: aging, the ICTs and prevention. For example, as regards the activities related to its dissemination, we should mention activities such as the café-project on “Aging and Mental Health”, and the seminar “Mobile Technologies in Mental Health: Challenges and Opportunities”, at the Mobile World Center. Also worthy of note was the Cluster’s participation in diverse mental health conferences, such as the first Jornada eSalutMental (eMentalHealth Conference), which was held at the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park.
Among results obtained, mention must be made of the university expert course in childhood and adolescent mental health, which is given by the UNED.
