The equipment is aimed at assist to the development of new businesses in various sectors and activities, offering incubation and pre-incubation spaces as well as different strategy, management, internationalization and corporate finance programmes that allow promoters of new companies, improve the knowledge and skills that contribute to the consolidation of its initiatives and their business excellence. The collaborator entities of Almogàvers Business Factory (ABF) are responsible for defining the profile of companies that they want to incubate and the entry requirements.

The Almogàvers Business Factory (ABF) is a business incubator promoted by the Barcelona City Council, in public and private cooperation with universities, research centres, professional associations and institutions from the finance world.
ABF is the third space promoted by the Barcelona City Council for incubation and business growth in the city. These incubators are innovative environments that enable the launch of business activities and afford a more guaranteed consolidation of the bases for competitive growth. In this sense, being born in the incubator promoted by Barcelona Activa means having greater expectations for survival, as more than 80% of the companies installed here are still operative in their fourth year of life.
The ABF model is an innovative model based on public-private partnership and on an “incubator of incubators” logic, which has nine collaborating institutions that present business projects from their environments for incubation with the expert participation of Barcelona Activa. Those collaborating institutions are: the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Ecommerce Global Incubator (EGI), Nauta, AppStylus, McCann, Fundació INLEA, Fundació Banesto, Dinamon and Bihoop.
